If you’re wanting to vote in the April 6th general election via absentee ballot, the Greene County Clerk begin to do so today.
Greene County Clerk Shane Schoeller announced the opening of absentee voting. The Greene County ballot contains a variety of candidates and/or issues in 9 cities and 8 school districts.
Voters can cast their absentee ballots at the clerk’s office in the Greene County Archives/Election Center at 1126 North Boonville in Springfield. You will be able to cast your absentee ballot up to the day before the election.
Ballots can be requested by mail, either by handwritten letter or fillable form. Those requests have to be signed by the voter and returned to the clerk’s office no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24.
Mailed ballots must be voted, notarized, and returned by mail to be in the Clerk’s office by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
