Something so easy is so lifesaving! Donating blood has had a profound impact on me. I know that donating to the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks is a way to impact local and it can be lifesaving, providing the essential resources for surgeries, trauma care, cancer treatment, and for managing chronic illnesses.
CBCO made it simple! You can make an appointment on-line. There is a quick pass that allows you to read/fill out info beforehand. Upon arrival and throughout the ENTIRE process, the staff is incredibly warm and caring. I felt one little pinch in the arm and that was it, I’ve stubbed my toe, and it hurt much worse. I had plenty of water prior to my donation, so I “flowed” quickly. And, then, I got snacks…plus, a Dickerson Park Zoo T-Shirt and passes as well as a Kansas City 3-Time Super Bowl Champs T-shirt, SCORE! The entire donation process was less than an hour.
A single act of giving blood is incredibly far-reaching. I know that my contribution is directly helping to save lives. Every donation stays right here in the Ozarks and can help people you know!
