Light Snow Accumulations On Grassy Surfaces

December 30, 2020 By kwto

Rain had transitioned to snowflakes in parts of the Ozarks by Wednesday afternoon, with some big flakes in the Springfield metro area.

The National Weather Service says a dusting to as much as an inch of snow will be possible on grassy and elevated surfaces.

Road temps are warm enough that snow was not accumulating on them in most spots.

We have had reports of one inch of snow on the ground southwest of Neosho by 1:00 p.m.

A few slick spots on bridges and overpasses is possible Wednesday afternoon and again Thursday morning, but no major travel impacts are expected.

The National Weather Service says another round of light snow will be possible Wednesday night into Thursday morning, with an additional dusting possible.
