Patients at Mercy Hospital in Cassville have been evacuated because of a fire that broke out Monday morning.
The police chief says the fire appears to have started in an air conditioning unit on the roof.
The patients were loaded into ambulances while the hospital figured out where to take them.
There have been no reports of injuries, and the fire was under control just after 7 a.m. Monday.
There’s no word on the extent of damage to the facility.
