New Beef Packing Plant to bring Jobs to Polk County

January 12, 2021 By kwto

A new beef packing plant in Polk County will bring hundreds of jobs to the area.

The company, called “Missouri Prime Beef Packers Inc,” is one of just two plants of this nature in the entire state of Missouri.

Additionally, beef cattle producers in the region will benefit greatly as company officials will be purchasing cattle locally for processing.

A ribbon cutting for the plant in Pleasant Hope takes place this Friday.

Governor Parson is expected to speak at the event and tour the facility
