Vandals Attack Historic Elkland Church on Easter Weekend

April 6, 2021 By kwto

Vandals attacked the historic Pleasant View Church during Easter weekend, destroying a piece of 100 year old stained glass, along with damaging a piano and the church’s pulpit.

The church building is not currently in regular use because of being deemed an unsafe structure a few years ago. The vandal attack was noticed by passers-by on Easter Sunday.

Webster County Sheriff Roye Cole told OI that no arrests have been made in the case. The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone who has information about the vandals should call the Webster County Sheriff’s Office at 417-859-3911.
