Grandfather's Mansion at Silver Dollar City!

Feeling like a kid!

Feeling like a kid! Isn’t this a great thing to do occasionally?  Kevin and I just did that over the weekend while on location at Silver Dollar City.  I’ve been walking through the doors of Silver Dollar City almost since Fire In The Hole debuted in 1972 (maybe a little after).  Early on, Fire In The Hole was pretty much the only ride until The Great American Plunge.  Now look at SDC … SO many rides AND a kids area/Firemen’s Landing.  Plus, their great annual events!

So many things have NOT changed … the décor and whole essence of the park is epic.  I’ve been going through Grand Father’s Mansion and standing in that coffin outside around the corner or hanging out behind those jail bars for decades lol.

THE food!  Funnel cakes are pretty much the staple of life.  And, a big ole refillable soda!  All the shops!  I could go on and on and on!  Silver Dollar City, you’ll feel just like a kid again!
