HALLOWEEN then…Remember it?

As a kid, Halloween was filled with so much excitement and anticipation. The days leading up to it were filled with getting a costume, what neighborhoods were we “hitting”, and the thrill of being someone else for a night. There was an electric energy in the air on Halloween night with your pals. Pumpkins, the rustle of fallen leaves and eerie lighting. The excitement of sorting through the night’s bounty at home was almost as exhilarating as the actual trick-or-treating. Halloween, as a kid, was a time like no other. If you’d score that house with FULL size candy bars it was like the lottery. There was a home in my Nana’s neighborhood that would give out 6-packs of Coca-Cola products – SCORE! Every once in a while you’d stumble on the wretched raisins, caramel apple, pennies or EVEN a toothbrush. But, overall the memories are tucked away forever! I don’t have an older photo of my incredible Wonder Woman costume that was WORTH two years in a row… but, I do have this sweet photo trying to be a kid at heart … Halloween 2023!
