Did you know Joplin, Missouri is home to the world’s largest outdoor 3d street painting gallery? I’ve been seeing pictures of the street art in Joplin popping off the pavement and knew I had to see for myself!
The first week of June, Joplin hosts the World Street Painting Festival. Visit Joplin worked to create a series of 3D street paintings with a Route 66 theme to honor 100 years of the Mother Road.
Joplin has 3D street art dotted throughout the city in 3 locations, but 10 works of street art have been added to the collection at Schifferdecker Park, on the corner of 7th Street and Schifferdecker Avenue. The street gallery includes two artists from the United States and eight from across the world.
