May is Military Appreciation Month and 98.7 The Dove and Horsin’ Around Golf Carts are proud to Salute the Troops. Thanks to our amazing listeners for submitting their loved ones to be honored.

Elena McCann would like to salute her husband of 32 years, Gary McCann of the United States Navy. Gary served as a Navy Aviation Ordnanceman and now lives in Houston, Missouri.
Raymond Pernice would like to salute his son, Braxton Dakota Pernice. Braxton is actively serving as a Master Sargent in the US Army. Braxton is a Hillcrest High School graduate. “I look at life so much differently,” explains Raymond, “He’s made me a better dad.”
Nicole Grant would like to salute her husband Jeff Grant. Jeff was a Staff Sergeant in the US Army. “My husband Jeff has impacted my life in more ways than I could ever explain in words,” says Nicole, “He believes in me when I don’t believe in myself. He is the best dad in the world to my daughter, Cassidy, and our son, Lucas.”

Gary McCann would like to salute his wife, Elena McCann. Elena worked in the mid-90’s as the Aviation Storekeeper in the US Navy. Gary and Elena have been married for 32 years.
Tracy Phifer would like to salute Shelby Honeo-Phifer. Shelby serves as a First Class Sergeant with the US Army. Shelby is from Reeds Spring, Missouri. Tracy says she’s worried about her when she’s on tour, but extremely proud of her for serving our country.

Reagan Soetaert would like to salute her big brother, Colin Soetaert with the US Marine Corps. Colin is actively serving as a Machine Gunner. Reagan says she is proud of her brother’s choice to enlist after graduation, “He taught me to ride my bike without training wheels and he helped me learn how to wakeboard. He pushed me to keep trying and get better. This past year has been hard not getting to see him every much, but I know what he is doing is important for our country.”
Beverly Dingman would like to salute her grandson, Brooks Dingman with the US Air Force. Brooks is presently serving in Turkey as Air Traffic Control. “Most people never get to see their hero, but I got to spoil mine. Nana is so proud of him and all those who serve with him! God bless all our brave Veterans,” says proud grandma, Beverly.
Tara Dill would like to salute her nephew Ashton Moore of Marshfield, Mo. Ashton is currently serving in the Navy and works on the flight deck, servicing fighter jets on the Bush. Tara says their families legacy has many serving in the military, “This one hits close with him being the oldest nephew. He has moved up quickly through his service and we are beyond proud of him! We miss him dearly and wish him safety until he returns.”

Elizabeth Nance would like to salute Haley Kurtz of Newport, Tennessee. Elizabeth is currently serving in the US Army. Elizabeth was adopted and only recently met her biological family, including Haley. “I salute her every day as she fights for our country. She is making a big impact on this country and doing what she loves,” says Elizabeth.
