Weekend Events – 8/7-8/9

The countdown is on to the start of school! Only a couple more weekends left of summer fun in the Ozarks.

Route 66 Festival – This is the yearly festival held every August in downtown Springfield.  The Route 66 Festival runs Friday through Sunday. The weekend includes a classic car show, a parade, and live music. Find the details HERE.

Ozark Empire Fair – The final few days of the fair are here, but there is still plenty of fun in store. On Friday night, the KY3 Grandstand is hosting Hardee’s Xtreme Bullfighting. On Saturday, the 2026 Truck and Tractor Pull will be in action.

1st Friday Art Walk – Art Walk is a free, self-guided tour held in Downtown Springfield on the first Friday of every month. The event is from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and organized by the Springfield Regional Arts Council. Look for local art galleries, student exhibits, live music and food. Find out more HERE.

Wild Animal Safari Drive-In Movie Night – Spend a night on the wild-side and watch Lion King as a drive-in movie at Wild Animal Safari. Cost is $5, or free with park admission. Pre-show cartoons start around 7 p.m. and the main event will begin around 8:15 p.m.
