When I grow up…

Do you remember when you decided what you wanted to do for a living/career? While in college I started out wanting to be an accountant! While in some of my classes, I quickly realized I was not having enough fun – haha. I switched to media classes. I went for a major in TV/Radio Production with an Emphasis on Film Studies. And, it was the best decision I ever made. I’m 100% only happy in the entertainment medium.

I was thinking about the above on a recent birthday outing for my 10 year old niece, Monroe. I can tell whatever she decides to do, she will excel! We went to The Dickerson Park Zoo for an experience with the giraffes … on the way to the Zoo, Monroe saw the Buc-cee’s sign so that was the second stop. Then, Monroe said I’ve never been to your work. I said, it’s near-by, she wanted to visit! Of course we had to do a photo shoot. Then, I said do you want to act like you’re on the radio? And, OMG, her “break” was on point. She intro’d correctly, had some nice personal content and closed the break right on. We finished the evening with the dinner of champions at Taco Bell. But, all I could think is Monroe is definitely a contender to replace me :-).
